The University of Arkansas Little Rock was founded in 1927, as the Little Rock Junior College. In 1957, it became a private four-year university, until 1969, when it turned into a public educational institution again. The campus contains 40 buildings, including a library with a wide range of resources, spread on 150 acres. The university includes the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology, and the College of Science and Mathematics.
